グローバルコース1年生「国際知識」の授業でプレゼンに挑戦

GLコース

The first-year Global Course students will go to Thailand this August for their language training course.
To prepare them, they were assigned to research and give a presentation about Thailand. The class was divided into three groups, and after two months of preparation, they shared what they’ve learned and found out about Thailand.

The first group talked about Thailand’s food culture.
They started off with the do’s and don’ts when eating, especially manners that are different from those of Japan.
They also showed and described some of Thailand’s representative dishes and sweets.

The second group gave an interactive and creative presentation on Thailand’s traditional dress, food and sight-seeing spots.
Hearing their presentation will make you want to go to Thailand. They also gave an interesting quiz about Thailand’s renowned dish – Tom Yum.

The last group shared some basic information about Thailand, like population, religion, etc. They compared these points with that of Japan. They also talked about Thai people’s personality, and Thailand’s nickname as the “Land of Smiles”. They ended their presentation with the Thai phrase, “Mai pen rai”, which roughly translates to “Everything is okay. Don’t worry.”

Through this activity, we hope that the students will know what to expect, and that they’ll be able to make the most out of their trip in Thailand.
